Guadeloupe

When we wanted to move on from Martinique, Covid testing was still required when moving from one island to the next. At over US$100/person/island it was a significant cost. Therefore we decided to move directly from Martinique to Guadeloupe, skipping Dominica, as no testing was required between the French Antilles.
After sailing north from Martinique, we did overnight in Prince Rupert Bay, Dominica but without going ashore. Fortunately, we got the opportunity to bring Yacht Skyfall back to visit Dominica later.
We liked Guadeloupe and spent four weeks there. There is the Jacques Cousteau marine park with exceptional diving and snorkelling, a really good Botanical gardens in Deshaies, the southern islands Les Saintes and Marie Galante, the MACTe exhibition in Point-a-Pitre (easily the best tourist attraction in the eastern Caribbean) - and so much more.
